Proposal/Report Writing
Proposal and report writing serve important functions in University, humanitarian and development agencies and are common and necessary tasks for staff in various levels and roles throughout an organization. Nevertheless, writing proposals and reports can be challenging. The ability of NGOs to deliver aid is dependent on their access to funds, and the quality of project proposals determines whether or not funds are ultimately received.
Reports must analyze the information that is presented, draw consistent conclusions, and make sensible and practical recommendations, otherwise they risk falling short of their objective. It is essential for the operation of humanitarian program that organizations have the capacity to design, write and deliver high quality project proposals and reports.
This training focused on aspects that make sound skills and knowledge to prepare proposal and writing reports, during university periods and assigned job positions. It considered the reporting back process that follows a successful proposal. SLA is stand here to boost up essential skills and knowledge.
There are various funding opportunities especially after recent Afghan refugees return from Afghanistan but partner’s capacity to submit quality proposal is very limited. East region is facing various humanitarian challenges like increased number of conflict affected IDP’s, highest number of returnees arriving back from Pakistan, prolong IDP’s and natural disaster affected communities.
The objective of the proposal and report writing training is to increase quality assurance to the university scholars as well as funding for security and cluster through submission of quality proposal and reports for fund raising.
